How to sell Merch and Tickets for events on Tickxts

Selling merchandise using ticket creation allows you to offer products as selectable tickets within your event. Instead of waiting until checkout, customers can view and purchase merch directly alongside their tickets. This improves visibility, simplifies the buying process, and increases the likelihood of additional sales.

Selling Merchandise via Ticket Creation

1) On the dashboard, click Edit on the event, then open the Tickets tab and select Add New Ticket.

2) Enter a ticket name (e.g. Merch Only, T-Shirt, Hoodie), set the price, quantity, and max per customer (optional), add a description (e.g. merchandise only, no event access), then click Save.

3) After creating the ticket, go to the Ticket Options tab, then select Images to upload your merch images (main + additional if available).

4) For variations (e.g. sizes or colours), go to Custom Fields, click Add New, and input the options.

5) Click on Save and preview your event to ensure everything is set correctly

CrossSell+ on Tickxts also allows you to market your merchandise or products to your event goers. We conveniently present your range of products to your customers just before they complete their ticket purchase to add further items to their cart.

1) Navigate to your dashboard and click on Edit to edit the event you wish to add products for sale to.

2) On the edit event panel, click on CrossSell+ and then click on Add New

3) Add a name to your product e.g 'T shirt Merch'

4) Enter the price, quantity, and more information about your product and click Save

5) Once your item has saved, you will now be able to upload a picture for your product. Select a picture and click upload. Pictures with a 3:2 aspect ratio are best fit.

6) If the item you're listing requires shipping to your customers, then enable the Require shipping address option.

Advanced Features

7) If you would like to show a product to customers who have purchased a particular ticket, you can select from the list of tickets and click save. Only customers who have the selected tickets in their cart will then be able to see and purchase this product.

8) If you would like to collect other information from your customers regarding the product for example when selling a T-shirt, you may wish to know what size or colour your customer desires. Click on Add field to add a custom field, and fill in the options.

9) Click on Save and preview your event. Go through to the ticket buying process yourself to check everything is exactly as you configured.
